1980s Graseby Dynamics CAM spotted in Serbian Armed Forces CBRN training
A Chemical Agent Monitor (CAM) device developed by Graseby Dynamics has been spotted in a video of a recent CBRN training conducted by the Serbian Armed Forces.
The exercise took place at the Ravnjak military complex in Kruševac, the home of the country's national CBRN training centre and the army's 246th CBRN battalion.
According to FAS Military Analysis Network, the Graseby Dynamics CAM was developed in Watford, United Kingdom, in the early to mid-1980s and was accepted into service by the US Army in 1985.
The device was later upgraded into the Improved Chemical Agent Monitor (ICAM) and later the Joint Chemical Agent Detector (JCAD).
Graseby Dynamics was acquired by Smiths Industries in 1997, after which it became part of the company's threat detection and screening branch, Smiths Detection.
