Avon Protection has announced an order totalling $10.8 million USD from an existing European NATO nation for its CBRN respiratory protection systems.

In a press release from Monday 6 July, Avon announced that the order was made under the NATO Support & Procurement Agency framework contract. This new order will support the ongoing modernisation of protective capability for military personnel.

The contract includes FM50 twin-filter air purifying respirators, FM61EU filters, mask carries and hydration accessories, providing an integrated protective system designed to support users operating in complex and high-risk environments.

Steve Elwell, president, Avon Protection commented:  "This order reflects the continued confidence our customers have in the reliability and performance of our solutions, supporting the needs of modern operators in evolving threat environments.

Avon Protection is committed to supporting global defence and security forces with mission-critical protection solutions, underpinned by our ongoing investment in new product development and system integration."

Avon Protection wrote that the FM50 forms part of Avon Protection’s 50 series platform, described as "the most field-proven respiratory system in service".

FM50 is a twin-filter full-face respirator and was specifically designed for NATO military requirements for lower breathing resistance, and developed with a focus on optimising user comfort, and time in the field. The system enables users to operate with continuous respiratory protection in hazardous environments, helping maintain situational readiness across a range of operational scenarios.
