CBRN critical infrastructure resilience workshop takes place in Tbilisi, Georgia
A national workshop on strengthening CBRN critical infrastructure resilience workshop has taken place in Tbilisi, Georgia, from 17-19 March.
Hosted at the State Security Service of Georgia's training centre and implemented by the International Science and Technology Center (ISTC), "the workshop brought together national stakeholders to advance a structured, risk-informed approach to the protection and resilience of critical infrastructure supporting essential services", according to information published by ISTC on LinkedIn.
Over three days, participants worked on identifying essential functions sustaining CBRN-related services, analysing disruption scenarios through relative technical feasibility and strengthening inter-institutional coordination and shared risk understanding.
Funded by the European Union under the EU CBRN Centres of Excellence Initiative, the activity contributed to "strengthening national capacities to anticipate, prioritise and respond to complex and interconnected risks affecting critical infrastructure", according to ISTC.
