NATO and Iraqi Security Forces conduct CBRN training

NATO Mission Iraq and the Iraqi Security Forces conducted a joint CBRN training exercise on 7 January at the 1st CBRN Regiment in Taji, Iraq, north of the capital city of Baghdad.

A short statement on Facebook said that exercise Bright Star "focused on realistic crisis response, integrating medical teams, engineering and EOD units as well as military intelligence with its forensic experts. Their cooperation reflects Iraq’s commitment to strengthening detection, protection and response capabilities shaped by real‑world threats."

"The event showcased growing professionalism, modern equipment and the power of partnership between Iraq and NATO in building long‑term resilience," the statement concluded.
