One killed, three injured in roadside IED attack in northern Pakistan
At least one person was killed and three others, including an army official, were injured when their vehicle was struck by an IED in northern Pakistan on Thursday 12 February.
A vehicle belonging to the military engineering and construction organisation, the Frontier Works Organization, was hit by an IED in the Tangir Boshidas Road area of Chilas, the Gilgit-Baltistan Information Department said.
The statement confirmed that a civilian driver had been killed while three others, including an army major, sustained minor injuries.
Soon after the attack, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search and combing operation.
