Blücher introduces new CBRN protective suit for hot climates
The German producer of CBRN protective equipment Blücher has introduced a new CBRN protective suit especially designed for hot climates. It was first presented during the 2026 World Defense Show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in February.
According to Defense Here, the protective system uses an air-permeable fabric designed to reduce heat stress. As the wearer moves, air passes through the material, helping remove body heat while internal filter layers absorb hazardous chemical agents. Managing director Sebastian Meyer-Plath told Defense Here that the suit provides up to 24 hours of protection against a range of chemical warfare agents.
Blücher has specialised for nearly 50 years in air-permeable protective suits designed for CBRN protection. The company has sold more than 12 million protective suits worldwide, with the suits being used by militaries, civil defence, fire departments, police and the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
