DarkForge Defence announces TRIDENT auto-inflation device for EOD, subsea operations
The British-American defence solutions and training provider DarkForge Defence has announced TRIDENT, an advanced programmable auto-inflation device designed to significantly enhance safety, efficiency and precision across EOD and wider subsea operations.
According to an announcement posted on LinkedIn by DarkForge Defence founder and owner Andy Peat, TRIDENT "represents a major step forward in subsea recovery and risk to life mitigation technology".
"When paired with a lift bag system, it enables operators to remotely control the timed ascent of pre-positioned items - such as unexploded ordnance - to the surface," he said. "This capability allows EOD divers to safely exit the water prior to lift operations, reducing direct exposure to hazardous environments and significantly lowering risk to life.
"Beyond military and EOD applications, TRIDENT can also be employed by diving engineers working on offshore oil platforms and subsea construction projects. It provides a safe and controlled method for lifting hazardous or unstable objects, minimising diver exposure in complex industrial environments."
