Major General Jean-Christophe Le Roux joins Proengin as executive director
The French producer of handheld CBRN detection instruments, Proengin, has announced the appointment of Major General Jean-Christophe Le Roux as the company's executive director from September 2026.
In a press release posted on LinkedIn, Proengin said that Major General Jean-Christophe Le Roux has held several senior positions in the fields of CBRN defence, arms control and the fight against the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction during his career in the French armed forces.
He served as commander of the French Joint CBRN Defence Centre in Saumur after heading the CBRN office within the French armed forces general staff. More recently, he served as chief of staff of the Paris Defence and Security Zone and commander of the Île-de-France Defence Base. In this capacity, he contributed to the joint command of military operations conducted in the Paris region, notably during the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
At Proengin, he will "support the company's transformation from a long-standing detection specialist into a provider of comprehensive CBRN threat-management solutions for armed forces, civil-security organisations, critical-infrastructure operators and platform integrators", the company said.
