US Marines conduct 20-day CBRN exercise with Panamanian partners, FLIR, Honeywell devices spotted
United States Marines have conducted a 20-day CBRN exercise with members of the Panamanian Servicio Nacional de Fronteras in country's capital, Panama City.
According to information published by DVIDS, "the 20-day exchange strengthened bilateral security cooperation, informed future capability development efforts and reinforced partnerships that support shared security objectives and operational readiness".
A gallery showed participants lifting casualties of a simulated CBRN incident, scanning for contaminants and conducting decontamination procedures. The full gallery can be viewed here.

FLIR, Honeywell devices spotted
A Honeywell MultiRAE portable multi-gas monitor was seen during in use during the exercise in Panama City. According to Honeywell, the device has up to six gas sensors and wireless portability. It is "versatile and customisable" while delivering real-time access to instrument readings and alarm status from any location.
A FLIR identiFINDER R400 was also spotted scanning for contaminants during the training. According to FLIR Defense, the identiFINDER R400 is the most widely used handheld radionuclide identification device in the world, with over 20,000 units deployed.
