Third Iraqi scientific conference on CBRN safety, security takes place at University of Kufa
The Third Scientific Conference on CBRN Safety and Security has taken place at the University of Kufa on Wednesday, 8 April.
According to Al-Kafeel University, who participated in the conference with an academic delegation, the event took place under the patronage of the Iraqi Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and under the supervision of the president of the university, Professor Dr. Alaa Naji Al-Mawl.
The conference was organised by the Safety and Security Division (CBRN) at the University of Kufa under the slogan: "CBRN Risk Management: Duty, Responsibility and Challenge" with participation from researchers and academics specialising in biological, chemical and radiological safety and security.
The conference aimed to highlight the importance of managing risks related to CBRN issues and to promote effective prevention and response mechanisms to the challenges facing academic and community institutions, as well as to exchange scientific and research experiences among participants, according to Al-Kafeel University.
Al-Kafeel University was represented by assistant professor Jawad Kadhim Al-Shams, head of the Chemical, Biological and Radiological Safety and Security Unit; lecturer Dr. Ali Jabbar Al-Dhabawi, director of the Scientific Affairs Department; and lecturer Dr. Ahlam Hussein Hassan.
