US DTRA partners with Lithuanian Armed Forces on CBRN equipment, training
The United States' Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) has announced a partnership with the Lithuanian Armed Forces (LAF) in Kaunas.
In posts on Monday 30 March on LinkedIn and X, DTRA announced that their team for building partner capacity transferred "state-of-the-art" CBRN equipment to the Lithuanian Armed Forces and conducted "intensive" new equipment training.
"This crucial initiative directly enhances the LAF's counter-weapons of mass destruction operational capacity, strengthening Lithuania's sovereign defence and helping our vital ally meet NATO capability targets," DTRA wrote.
"This collaboration sends a clear message of deterrence and reinforces our collective commitment to security on NATO's eastern flank. A more capable Lithuania means a more secure Alliance."
